The Algarve has long been one of Europes leading destinations for golf fans. There are currently 4 18 hole golf courses in Vilamoura with another one currently under construction. If you wish to travel further up the Algarve then there are 24 large and small golf courses along the Algarve coast.

Three of the golf courses within easiest reach of the apartments are:

Vilamoura Old Golf Course

This famous course was designed over 30 years ago by the English Golf architect Frank Pennink. It was originally opened in 1969 and fully refurbished in 1996 when a new clubhouse was built and several improvements made to the course. This is a Par 73 course and caters to both the proffesional and less experienced golfer.

Villas Sol

This golf course was designed by the English architect Donald Steel and in 1996 was awarded a green flag by the European Golf Association for its high environmental standard.The course opened in 1991 and has already hosted the Portugese open twice. This is a 27 hole course and is a Par 72 course.

Vale do Lobo: Royal Course

This course was opened over 35 years ago and is based on the drawings of Sir Henry Cotton. The course has been designed by the renowned American architect, Rock Roquemore. The 16th hole is one of the most photographed motifs in Europe. This is an 18 hole Par 72 course.
