The Golferies apartments are situated in one of the more established developments
in Vilamoura, Portugal. The whole complex is extremely well kept with
lots of mature trees and gardens.
The apartment was recently refurbished to a high standard in June 2005 and has been impeccably finished off, fitted throughout with new furnishings and appliances. The apartment is situated on the first floor and consists of a main living area, 2 bedrooms, one with en-suite and separate shower room for the second bedroom. A private terrace ensures a quiet space to relax and unwind in the evening
The apartment boasts all the modern requirements for an easy holiday:
satellite TV, DVD players, air conditioning, very pleasant living accommodation
with a light airy feel to the whole place.
The complex offers a friendly, on-site bar and café, run by two
fantastic chaps, Roger and Peter. The bar offers light meals in the restaurant
or light snacks around the bar and pool area. During the high season it
offers a weekly barbeque with live music. Golferias boasts a large and
very child friendly swimming pool for those who like to relax and soak
up the atmosphere. Pool passes ensure that the area remains exclusive
to those using the apartments. The nearest beach is 1500 meters away (
5-10 minutes) ; a unique model train transports holiday makers to and
from the nearest beech every hour. You have a choice of several beeches,
some further away than others, but all easily accessible.
Outside the complex the main area for shopping and bars is only a five
minute walk away. For those who enjoy self catering the local supermarket
is stocked with all the essentials at very reasonable prices. For those
of you who like an evening walk why not stroll into Vilamoura harbour.
In just 15 minutes you will be amongst the most magnificent shops and
bars. Taxi rides are easy and accessible for those who don’t like
to walk anywhere. The average cost of a taxi into Vilamoura is €3.00.
If you like your nightlife a little more up-tempo then you should visit
neighbouring Quarteira, a bustling town with plenty of bars and restaurant
and clubs to choose from. The weekly market is every Wednesday morning,
well worth a visit as you can pick up some real bargains there.
Vilamoura is a true golfer’s paradise and with five golf courses
to choose from, you certainly won’t get bored. Available all year
round, you can book your holiday safe in the knowledge the weather will
be great and the golf courses on offer to you are the best Portugal has
to offer.
Above all, the Algarve is a children's haven; they can choose whatever
daily excursion takes their fancy. They could visit the Aqua Show, a fun
family park, Zoomarine where they get to swim with the dolphins, several
exciting water parks, horse riding, Algarve Zoo or take a cruise around
the Algarve. There’s plenty of grilled chicken and chips or if they
want they can try the local restaurants and enjoy the Algarve’s
classic speciality dishes. If not then Portugal is guaranteed to have
something to offer even the most discerning palate.

to watch the sunset as you soak up the sights and sounds of this truly
cosmopolitan area amongst some magnificent shops and bars.
